Alan and his team turned up on the agreed date, and every day, weekend and bank holiday for 8 months until the job was complete. As and when problems arose (and they always do), a solution was always calmly and carefully worked out. Any variances that would affect our budget were always quoted for beforehand, and our total spend with Alan was almost exactly to his original quotation.
Our development was a 1930’s detached house in an acre of garden. Almost untouched since it was built, planning was to extend to one side, remove the roof and add another floor and to incorporate and convert a detached garage. In the process, all internal walls and floors would be removed and replaced, two new staircases installed, and the whole rewired, replumbed, replastered, and new windows throughout. In short, a lot easier to knock it down and start again!
The quote was not the most expensive, nor the cheapest,  but from the first meeting we got on fantastically well with Alan. He was professional, articulate and very straightforward, and we were totally confident in giving him the contract.
