Alan Wright is one of the nicest people you could meet.  His professionalism is second to none, he is always polite and courteous and is extremely trustworthy.  Alan is always the first person we call when we want some building work done on our house and he comes up with some good ideas and vision when we can’t see it ourselves.  The finished job is always perfect – he won’t leave until it is perfect.  I would highly recommend Alan to anyone that asks, and have done on quite a few occasions.

Alan Wright and his team completed a 2-storey extension including a complete re-design of upstairs in May 2008.  There was always a team of builders working every day to ensure the job was completed with the minimum disruption and no unnecessary delays. The quality of work and attention to detail was excellent with good recommendations from the team for improvements and a number of additions to the planned work being accommodated without issue.  All members of the team were pleasant to have around and totally trustworthy.  I was delighted with the finished extension!

In recent years, Alan has installed a new kitchen and added a conservatory to our 1960s property, again involving the removal of a supporting wall; refurbished a family bathroom to maximize the available space and created a downstairs shower room. Due to his professional approach, Alan enjoys a good relationship with Local Authority Building Control officers and ensures all his work is compliant with current Building Regulations. We have recommended Alan to several of our friends and would not hesitate to do so in the future.

I used Alan Wright’s building company some four years ago when renovating my bungalow. The renovation consisted of – new windows, doors, central heating, new kitchen , new bathroom and plumbing. I had extensions to provide one new room, enlarge another room and to construct two new bathrooms together with the replacement of a flat roof and roof light.  All work was carried out professionally and to a high standard. Communication throughout the work was excellent and all work was carried out with respect for our neighbours, with the site being kept clean and tidy. I am happy to recommend this building company.

Alan and his team turned up on the agreed date, and every day, weekend and bank holiday for 8 months until the job was complete. As and when problems arose (and they always do), a solution was always calmly and carefully worked out. Any variances that would affect our budget were always quoted for beforehand, and our total spend with Alan was almost exactly to his original quotation. Nothing was too much trouble and the skill and craftsmanship that went into the project resulted in a beautifully built and finished house.

We have completed many projects over the years but Alan and his men are by far the best team we have ever worked with and we would not hesitate for a moment in recommending him to anyone.

The most important thing was obviously the quality of the build and the interior and exterior finishes. Alan and his men had all this covered and we were very impressed with what we had seen so much so that we appointed him as our builder on the extensive enlargement and refurbishment of our house. Alan and his men completed the work on our house in a timely fashion.

He project managed the build so that there was a constant flow of activity and called on other specialist professionals from his broad spectrum of connections. He incorporated managing the site and sourcing materials whilst being hands on and on site everyday, working side by side with his men.

We have a home exceeding anything that we had dreamed of! There were no corners cut and the finish was fantastic – Alan’s eye for detail exceeded even ours! He is a true gem in the world of builders, taking a genuine pride in the work he carries out and completing everything to a very high standard.

Building a home involves thousands of decisions but the best one we made was employing Alan!

Alan and his team completed a loft conversion for us last year. From the moment we met to discuss our requirements through to completion, Alan has been professional, reliable and a complete perfectionist. He and every member of his team take such pride in their work and the attention to detail shown by every single one of them is amazing. Our standards are very exacting (which Alan himself will attest to) but they even exceeded our expectations and were always thinking ahead, considering things that would never have crossed our minds.
