Alan Wright was recommended to us by a neighbour as our property needed a complete refurbishment both inside and externally.  This consisted of removing and reconfiguring internal walls, installing RSJ’s, having a new staircase fitted, dismantling a rear roof space to build a beautiful external balcony with glass balustrade, additional roof space-storage, new kitchen worktops, wall & floor tiles, replacement of all internal doors, handles, locks etc.

A bathroom was re designed that enabled extra space to make a cloakroom for coats etc, an idea by Alan.

With a new front door, windows, guttering and wooden cladding around dormer window, along with new rendering, has given the property a total make over and transformed it completely.
We valued Alan’s professionalism, his communication skills and attention to detail, problem solving especially regarding a plumbing issue and his impeccable time keeping.   All works were carried out within agreed time frames, additional works or changes we requested were met.  Weekly updates on progression of works & next stages always discussed.

The day-to-day work was mainly done by a team of tradesmen with the same two men on site at all times to supervise they’re coming and going at the other trades, such as electricians, gas engineers etc.

They provided their own portaloo as well as tea making facilities so it didn’t encroach on me at all. Naturally there was an upheaval and dust, but at the end of each day, everything was made as hazard free as possible and I was never without a kitchen.
They were here for about eight weeks in December and January which were not the best months for building work, but it was all done within the agreed timeframe.
